Administration

Settings Overview

Company, master data, team, backup, license, and modules.

The Settings menu is where you configure how EVRST works for your business.

Company Settings

  • Business name, address, phone, email

  • Primary currency and country

  • Tax configuration (GST, VAT, or tax-free)

  • Logo and branding

  • Fiscal year and reporting periods

Invoice Defaults

The wording that appears on a new document before you type anything:

  • Default notes and terms for invoices, and separately for quotations

  • Default warranty terms, printed at the foot of an invoice that carries a warranty

  • Whether item descriptions print on documents

  • Whether a returning customer’s last price for an item is shown on the invoice form

Master Data

The lists the rest of the app draws on. Your items, customers and vendors have their own pages in the sidebar; this tab holds the smaller lists behind them:

  • Categories - product groupings, used for reporting and for the POS tabs

  • Promotions - basket rules such as buy-two-get-one-free

  • Line Discounts - how much staff may knock off a single line, and when a supervisor is needed

  • Units - pieces, kilograms, hours, boxes, and anything else you sell by

  • Payment Methods - cash, card, transfer, or your own, and which of them land in the drawer

  • Contact Fields - which customer details are required or must be unique, and what your ID field is called (VAT number, national ID, or your own label)

  • Technicians - who jobs are assigned to (shown when Service Tickets are enabled)

  • Cash Closing - float, variance tolerance and counting rules (shown when Cash Closing is enabled)

Loyalty

Points earned per unit of spend, what a point is worth on redemption, the minimum balance before a customer may redeem, and whether redeeming needs supervisor approval. Shown when the Loyalty module is enabled.

Print & Paper

Which printer each document goes to, thermal paper width, and the per-till calibration that trims content width and nudges it left or right when a receipt prints off the edge. Also the label printer and label size, the cash-drawer setting, and test prints for both A4 and thermal.

These are stored per till, because the printers usually differ from counter to counter.

Design Studio

Customize how your documents print (covered in the Design Studio section above).

Team & Users

Add staff, assign roles, and grant or remove individual permissions (covered in Multi-Location above).

Terminals

The tills registered on your network, which are active, and how many of your licensed seats are in use. This is also where a till is renamed, revoked, or restored (covered in Setting Up Additional Cashier Terminals below).

Security

Your own password and display name, staff PINs, the auto-lock timeout, the supervisor password, and which actions require supervisor approval (covered in Signing In and Supervisor Approvals above).

Backup & Data

Configure cloud backup and manage your data export (covered above).

Support & Help

Raise a support ticket, track the ones you have raised under My Tickets, and see your version and system details.

Tickets go to an automated support system that runs continuously, so most are answered within 24 hours. Our committed response time in the Terms of Service is 48 hours.

License

Your license key, license type, and how many terminal seats you are using. This is also where you activate a purchased key, whether you are on a trial or replacing an existing license.

The key and the associated email are shortened (for example 78CB8…3A9B) for anyone who is not the account owner. Together those two are what proves ownership when activating or recovering an account, so they are not shown to every member of staff. Sign in as the owner to read them in full.

Modules & Features

EVRST ships with the optional modules switched off so the app stays as simple as your business needs. Turn on only what you use:

  • Quotations, Delivery Notes, Purchase Invoices, Vouchers, Vendors

  • POS Console - the fast checkout screen

  • Stock Management - stock adjustments and movement history

  • Service Tickets / Job Cards - repair and service workflow

  • Serialized Inventory - per-unit tracking by serial, IMEI, or VIN

  • Warranty - per-item warranty duration, printed on the invoice

  • Loyalty / Rewards - points earning and redemption

  • Cash Closing - open a till with a float and close it against a counted drawer

  • VAT/GST - tax handling, tax labels, and rates

  • Profit Margin Scheme - VAT on margin for second-hand goods

  • Discounts - discount codes, manual line discounts, and a negotiated amount off the invoice

  • Partial Payments - let an invoice be settled across several payments

Turning a module off hides it rather than deleting anything. Your existing records stay exactly where they are and reappear if you switch it back on. Where turning something off could cause a real problem, EVRST asks you to confirm first, and it will refuse outright in cases that would leave your data inconsistent (for example, disabling serialized inventory while you still hold tracked units).

Frequently asked questions

Can I hide the modules my business does not use?

Yes. EVRST ships with the optional modules switched off so the app stays as simple as your business needs. Turn on only what you use under Settings > Modules & Features, including Quotations, Delivery Notes, Purchase Invoices, POS Console, Service Tickets, Serialized Inventory, Warranty, Loyalty, VAT/GST, and the Profit Margin Scheme.

Does turning a module off delete my records?

No. Turning a module off hides it rather than deleting anything, and your existing records reappear if you switch it back on. EVRST asks you to confirm where switching something off could cause a problem, and refuses outright in cases that would leave your data inconsistent, such as disabling serialized inventory while you still hold tracked units.

Where do I see how many terminal seats I am using?

Under Settings > License, which shows your license key, license type, and how many terminal seats are in use. It is also where you activate a purchased key.
