One Main Server, many tills, one database.
Run several cashier tills on your shop's local network. One PC acts as the Main Server (it holds the database and a small background service on port 3000). Every other counter is a Client Only that connects over Wi-Fi or cable. Everything stays on your network, no cloud required, no extra subscription.
From Main Server to till in five steps.
Same setup as the adoc: install the Main Server PC as "Server / Standalone", tick the LAN option, note the port. On each till, install as "Client Only" and let the app auto-discover the server, or type its IP by hand.
-
1Install the Main Server as Server / StandaloneThe Main Server is the PC that holds the database and runs the background service. It stays on during business hours.
-
2Tick "Allow terminals to connect"On the network page of the installer, enable the LAN option. EVRST opens the firewall rule for port 3000 automatically.
-
3Note the port (3000 by default)Every till must use the same port the server is listening on. Give the Main Server a fixed local IP so the address never changes after a router restart.
-
4Install each till as Client OnlyNo database lives on the till itself. Everything, including sales and stock, lives on the Main Server.
-
5Auto-discover or type the server IPSearch the network on first launch, or paste the server's IP (e.g. 192.168.1.10). The till registers itself on the first connect.
Till limits
One license. Up to six counters total.
The Main Server counts as one of the seats since it is also a working till. A purchased license covers it plus five Client tills. The trial gives you one till so you can verify a real second counter before buying.
Main Server + 5 Client tills
Enough for shops with several counters and a back office. Add a till from any registered counter under Settings > Terminals.
- ✓One database, all counters see the same items and stock
- ✓Real-time invoices, partial payments, audit trail
- ✓Each till keeps its own receipt printer and paper size
Main Server + 1 Client till
Enough to wire up your second counter end-to-end and confirm a till finds the server on your network. Upgrade any time without losing data.
- ✓Full product on every till for seven days
- ✓No card details, no signup
- ✓Buying activates extra tills in place, no reinstall
Manage every till from one place.
Open Settings > Terminals on any registered till (or on the Main Server) to see what is on the network and what to do about it.
- ✓List every till, last-seen time, and which one you are on right now
- ✓Rename a till (e.g. "Front Counter", "Pharmacy Till", "Back Office")
- ✓Deactivate a till to free its license seat, or restore a deactivated one
- ✓"Terminals: X of Y in use" shows seats left at a glance
- ✓Need more seats? Contact support to raise your license limit
When something cannot connect
Three refusal messages, one checklist.
A till that reaches the server but is refused shows one of these messages. Work down the checklist if it cannot find the server at all.
Terminal limit reached
Every seat on your license is in use. Free one up by deactivating a till in Settings > Terminals, or contact support to raise the limit.
Terminal deactivated
Someone deactivated this till in Settings. Restore it from another PC, or the Main Server, under Settings > Terminals.
Terminal not registered
Usually after a reinstall. Reconnecting from the setup screen registers it again, no reinstall needed.
Each till has its own printer.
Receipt printers and paper widths are per-till so the back office can sit on a different desk setup than the front counter. Document templates and policies (logo, terms, whether to auto-print) stay company-wide so the brand never drifts between counters.
- ✓Per-till printer setup under Settings > Print & Paper
- ✓Receipt rows, font size, thermal vs A4 set per counter
- ✓Brand logo, header, and standard terms applied everywhere
- ✓Auto-print on sale toggled company-wide, not per counter
More counters, same checkout speed.
Every cashier on the same data, no copy-paste, no end-of-day reconciliation.
